Srinagar, Sep 04 (KNO): Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) President and former Minister, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Thursday expressed deep grief over the tragic death of a resident of Tulail in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, who lost his life in a massive landslide in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district. Terming the incident as “deeply shocking and heartbreaking,” Yaseen, as per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength to bear this irreparable loss. “My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased and with those whose loved ones are still missing. I pray for the safe rescue of all those trapped in this tragic incident,” he said. Yaseen urged the Jammu and Kashmir administration to remain in constant touch with the Himachal Pradesh authorities to facilitate rescue operations on priority. He also appealed for immediate arrangements to bring back the mortal remains of the deceased to his native village in Tulail. He further called upon the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh to provide adequate ex-gratia relief and extend all possible support to the affected families—(KNO)
